DIY Law Mart offers individualized client services, also known as unbundled legal services or limited scope representation. This means you can pick and choose only those services you need and pay-as-you-go. Unbundled legal services are generally offered at a flat-fee. Whether you need limited services or full legal representation, we have solutions.
TYPES OF "UNBUNDLED" SERVICES
Iowa family law forms for self-represented parties use legal terms that may have little meaning for many DIY persons. We have solutions.
With a brief case evaluation, you will have a head start on the forms filing process and navigation of the Court's Electronic Document Management System, also known as EDMS.
Like a roof over a home, the term family law covers matters that involve custody, property division, and alimony. Within each matter there exists the need for documents that involve the rights and responsibilities of the parties. We have solutions.
The Law Mart offers document preparation covering family law matters, including the following most commonly requested:
Settlement Agreement and proposed Decree/Order
Child Support Calculation Wkst (Form 1)
Parenting (visitation) Plans

Most family law matters are settled without having to go to trial. Settlement negotiations can be daunting without proper preparation. We have solutions.
DIY Law Mart offers settlement/negotiation services, the most common include:
Discussion and guidance on specific issues in dispute
Attorney availability on “as needed” basis during negotiations
Attorney attendance and participation in mediation session
Custody matters involve the court system as a mechanism to either formalize or modify parents' rights and responsibilities regarding their children. The breakdown of custody matters include: parenting plans (visitation), child support, and other related matters (medical, tax dependencies, other support credits). We offer limited legal services and full legal representation in any one of these areas.
We offer limited legal services in business formations, the most common include:
LLC (Limited Liability Company)
PC (Professional Corporation)
In Iowa, a divorce is referred to as a dissolution which involves three primary areas: property division, alimony, and child custody. The best opportunity for divorcing parties to control the outcome, is to come to an agreement on their own. If the parties do not resolve all issues, a trial judge will determine the rights and responsibilities of the divorcing parties. Our firm offers legal assistance in all 3 areas of divorce and will explore reasonable solutions for limited scope representation. As an alternative option, our firm also offers full legal representation in all divorce matters.
We offer limited legal services in estate planning matters, the most common, a draft or modification of a Will. Other services include: Power of Attorney (POA) for both health care and financial decisions, HIPPA Release, Living Will, and a Declaration of Final Disposition.
