Custody matters involve both married and unmarried persons. Whether an initial custody or modification action, the court requires certain checklist items to be addressed. We have solutions for getting your case through the court system including the following common checklist items: parenting plans (visitation), child support, and other custody-related matters (medical, tax dependencies, other support credits). We offer limited legal services and full legal representation in any one of these areas.
We offer services in business formations, the most common include:
LLC (Limited Liability Company)
Corp. (Corporation)
PC (Professional Corporation)
In Iowa, a divorce is referred to as a dissolution which involves three primary areas: property division, alimony (aka spousal support), and child custody. The best opportunity for divorcing parties to control the outcome is to come to an agreement on their own. If the parties do not resolve all issues, a trial judge will determine the rights and responsibilities of the divorcing parties. Our firm offers legal assistance in all areas of divorce and will explore reasonable solutions for either self-represented parties or persons that prefer full legal representation in divorce matters.
We offer services in estate planning matters, which include the following: creation or modification of a Will, Powers of Attorney for healthcare and financial matters, and a Living Will/Advance Directive.
We offer mediation services in family law matters and maintain standards set by state and local districts. We will remain an impartial third party that will facilitate an opportunity for the parties to define disputed issues, explore possible solutions, and come to a voluntary resolution that further avoids the financial and emotional costs of a trial. Fees are $150 per hour with a 2-hour minimum paid in advance with the parties splitting the cost. The parties are expected to pay the outstanding balance at the close of the mediation session. We accept cash or credit card payments. Call us to set a mediation session.
